Background & Objectives
Overview
Jakarta X Beauty, one of the largest beauty events in Indonesia. As a growing brand preparing to expand its audience reach, participating in this event became an important milestone to introduce Seung Tae directly to consumers through an offline experience. The main objective was to build stronger brand awareness, attract event visitors, and create a memorable presence through cohesive visual design across both digital and physical touchpoints.
Challenge
As a new and relatively unknown brand, Seung Tae faced the challenge of standing out among well-established beauty brands at Jakarta X Beauty.
Competing visually with established brands that already had strong awareness and loyal audiences.
Designing an eye-catching booth that could attract visitors to stop and explore.
Delivering a clear, concise brand message to first-time audiences in a short interaction window.

Exploration
To prepare for the event, I explored how established beauty brands execute their presence at large-scale exhibitions, benchmarking not only skincare booths but also lifestyle and premium retail activations. The challenge was translating Seung Tae’s identity into an event setting that feels engaging, recognizable, and aligned with the brand’s evolving tone. This exploration helped shape design decisions for event collateral that could stand out in a crowded environment while maintaining brand consistency.

Execution
In the execution phase, I led the development of the visual direction for Seung Tae x Jakarta X Beauty, starting from the core Key Visual and translating it into a cohesive visual system applied across multiple touchpoints. The goal was to ensure consistency, strong brand recall, and a seamless experience between offline and digital channels.
Key Visual Development
I designed the main Key Visual (KV) that served as the foundation of the event’s visual identity. This included defining the color direction, typography treatment, layout system, and overall visual mood that reflected Seung Tae’s brand personality while standing out in a crowded event environment.

Social Media Adaptation
The KV was then adapted into various social media assets, including pre-event teasers, announcement posts, promotional content, and event-day coverage templates. The objective was to maintain visual consistency while optimizing layouts for different digital formats and engagement needs.

Booth & On-Ground Collateral
The visual system was extended into physical touchpoints within the booth area, designed not only to attract visitors but also to communicate the brand more clearly.
Booth Banners & Posters – Large-scale visuals designed to capture attention from a distance and reinforce the Key Visual.
Product Display Signage – Supporting visuals placed near products to highlight key selling points.
Flyer Booklet – A multi-page printed material that introduced Seung Tae’s brand story, product range, and unique value proposition in a more detailed and structured way. Unlike a single-page flyer, this booklet functioned as an educational tool to help first-time visitors understand the brand more deeply.
Merchandise & Supporting Materials
I also developed selected merchandise and supporting visual materials that aligned with the KV, ensuring every tangible touchpoint reflected the same visual identity and strengthened overall brand presence.
Contributions
My design contributions supported Seung Tae’s ability to present a stronger and more cohesive brand identity throughout Jakarta X Beauty. By creating visuals that enhanced booth presence and reinforced brand recognition, the collateral helped attract attention and communicate Seung Tae’s story more clearly to new audiences.
